Let’s meet Sam,

As a newcomer to VCL, Sam brings a fresh burst of energy, infusing it with the sparkle of his enthusiasm.

Sam proudly joined the boys on bikes at this year’s 2024 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras astride his vibrant Vespa.

Sam also boasts the title of VCL’s resident owner of the most luxuriant locks, adding an extra touch of flair to his charismatic persona.

I’m an OG country boy born in Sale, VIC but grew up in the Bayside suburb of Beaumaris in Victoria (near Brighton “Braaaaaaaiton!”). Currently live in Marsfield NSW by Macquarie University

So far out of the rides I have attended I would say Sorrento Bay at Sorrento Pizzeria.

I grew up with my dad owning and riding a motorcycle. He would often pick my up for weekend visits from dance class on his bike so was very used to being on the back of a bike. I have always admired Vespa’s so it was a no brainer when I decided I was going to get a bike licence last year that I would buy a Vespa.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 / 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱.
Number one tip so far is to always use the back stand when parking your Vespa. Especially in areas that aren’t level, using just the side stand is a sure fire way of your bike falling over. I was also told to let the side stand out at the same time in the off chance that the back stand is knocked out, there is another stand to assist.
