Let’s Meet Paul,

One of VCL’s true gentleman,

Paul has been an avid rider and attendee of VCL rides since getting his licence and GTS300 in 2022.

Started with open-face but an influential club leader convinced me to go full-face

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀.
Cuisines, Italian & Asian. Foods, pasta, seafood, juicy steaks on the BBQ and pizzas …. anything tomato sauce based, thin crust and without PINEAPPLE !!

Born in Sicily, family migrated to Sydney in 1963. Grew up in the Inner West, raised family on the Lower North Shore and now back home in Drummoyne.
So I love the Shell/Victoria Rd meeting point.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 / 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Enjoyed the north/western ride to Hillbilly Cider. It was great to explore that area led by a local (Tony).

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴
During my occasional trips to Italy I have always admired the vast number of commuters on scooters getting on with their daily lives, especially in congested Rome and most coastal areas. This gave me the desire to learn to ride a motorised 2 wheeler as I was getting too old for the bicycle and wanted an easier way of maneuvering around the Inner West and perhaps one day possibly riding in Southern Europe.

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 / 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱.
Being a rookie there are too many to name and special thanks to Ryan for showing me the ropes. One tip that I recall was from Peter on my first ride, he observed that I was a bit wobbly when taking off from a standing start and he said “Paul, you may want to consider giving it more throttle when taking off”.

Segura jacket, which was a bargain from Motorcycle Stuff – keeps out the wind and most of the rain. $5 Helmet Lok T Bar – quickly secure helmet without struggling with the D ring.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗖𝗟 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻t
All rides are memorable with a recent standout being catching up with the Lakes Entrance riders at Berry, enjoying the evening together and the great ride back through the Southern Highlands.
