The VCL Mileage Awards officially launched on 29/09/2022, with one goal in mind:
To reward our dedicated riders as they hit major distance milestones — 1,000 km, 5,000 km, and 10,000 km.

Who would’ve thought a small medallion would be so sought after?
Due to overwhelming enthusiasm (and some seriously impressive riding!), pins for 15,000 km, 20,000 km, and 25,000 km were quickly added to the mix.

Thanks to the incredible participation — especially on our big rides away to Wangaratta, Lakes entrance and Great Ocean Road — the programme has truly taken off.

As VCL Deluxe Rides continue to grow in popularity, we’ve made some important updates to help all VCL members clearly understand the requirements involved in participating in these longer, more demanding adventures. .

What began as simple 1 to 3-night away rides has evolved into full-scale journeys that have seen us take on rides upwards of 16 days. With this growth, we’ve recognized the need to bring clarity and structure to help members prepare appropriately.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗖𝗟 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘂𝘅𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺
As VCL Deluxe Rides continue to expand in scope and popularity, we’ve introduced a new classification system based on the number of days away and the difficulty level of each ride. This makes it easier for all members to understand what’s involved — and what’s required — before committing to a ride.

𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘂𝘅𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱:

𝗗𝟭 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 – 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹
Duration: 2–3 days
Ideal for those wanting to experience an overnight ride
Generally shorter trips with manageable daily distances

To attend any VCL Deluxe Ride, members must first enroll in the VCL Mileage Awards Programme. This ensures you’re tracking your progress and building toward eligibility for our more demanding rides.

Sign up is FREE, and required before participating in any Deluxe Ride. Once enrolled, you’ll begin earning VCL KLMs for every ride you RSVP to and attend.

Tip: Every kilometer counts — the more you ride, the closer you get to your first Deluxe Ride experience!

Once you’ve accumulated 1,500 VCL KLMs, you’re officially eligible to sign up for your first D1 Deluxe Ride.

D1 Deluxe Rides are introductory-level away rides, over 2–3 days away.

It’s the perfect way to experience your first multi-day VCL adventure.
