The VCL Compliance Ride Program is designed to prepare riders for the demands of long-distance, overnight, multi-day riding.

Through structured preparation and real-world riding experience, the program ensures riders are ready to confidently progress to any D2 or D3 (away) Deluxe Ride.

You will gain first hand experience in pre-ride preparation, planning, and the commitment required for multi-day adventures.

Compliance Rides test your pre-ride preparation across 5 x 300+ km ride days. Each ride is treated as if it were part of a 4-day Deluxe Ride.

During every Compliance Ride, riders are assessed on their level of preparation and compliance.

Failure to meet any ride or pre-ride requirement will result in that ride not counting toward your required 5 Compliance Rides.

All riders must also be capable of leading and tailing a ride when required.


⚠️ 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞? ⚠️

● You are eligible to register for the Compliance Ride Program once you have reached 1,500 km in the VCL Mileage Award Program, even if you have not yet attended your first D1 Deluxe Ride.

● All pre-ride checks and safety requirements must be completed before submitting your RSVP.

● D1 Deluxe Rides are introductory-level rides. While completion of the Compliance Ride Program is not required, the Pre-Ride Checklist is mandatory.

● After completing your first D1 Deluxe Ride and successfully passing the VCL Compliance Ride Program, you are eligible to progress to D2, then D3 Deluxe Rides.

Within the Mileage Award Program, the first column displays your Compliance status:

❌ Red Cross
You have not passed any Compliance Rides.
You are restricted to D1 Rides only (all safety requirements still apply).

🟡 Yellow Circle (1–5)
Indicates the number of Compliance Rides completed.
You remain restricted to D1 Rides only.

✅ Green Tick
You have successfully completed 5 x Compliance Rides. After completing your 1st D1 ride you can move onto the next level D2 and then D3 Deluxe Ride.

Deluxe Rides involve multiple days of riding together as a team.
All riders must be able to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with others.

If you are unable to work as part of a group, a Deluxe Ride is not for you.

D2 and D3 Deluxe Rides demand more than enthusiasm — they require proper protective gear and a safety-first mindset.

● Do you have waterproof luggage?

● Can you secure you luggage quickly

● Is your riding gear capable of protecting you?

● Do you have a full-face helmet?

● Rider communications?

● Armoured riding jacket?

● Waterproof boots?

● Kevlar-reinforced jeans?

● Your safety impacts the entire group.

Reliability is essential for long distances and consecutive days of riding.
Your Vespa must be mechanically sound and capable of handling the demands of a Deluxe Ride.

⚠️ 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐱𝐞 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬⚠️

Before RSVPing for any VCL Deluxe or Compliance Ride, all safety, preparation, and attendance requirements must be met.

Your RSVP to attend any Compliance Rides must be submitted no less than 48 hours before departure.

Once you have submitted your RSVP, you must leave a message in the Event comments that you are attending as your 1st,2nd,3rd,4th or 5th compliance Ride.
