The Ride Objective
Stay off all major freeways where possible
2200klm + round trip Sydney to Melbourne.
To visit places of interest, small towns, landmarks and see the southern end of OZ on a Vespa.
12 days total from Sydney to Melbourne & return – 17/04/21 to 2/05/21
4 x days riding from Sydney to Melbourne
4 x days in Melbourne – plan is to arrive on a Friday
4 x days riding back to Sydney – via a different route.
Long distance riding experience is a must.
P plate riders will need to show there ability on previous rides if interested.
We expect to travel approximately 250-350klm per day depending on visits and time spent at places of interest each day..
Early starts – On the road by 7.00am
Off the road by mid to late afternoon to enable plenty of time to relax and see the sights of the next overnight stop.
Stopping every 100-150klm for fuel, rest and take in the sights.
This is not a race, average speed will be 90kph with us riding to the road and weather conditions.
You will need to be self sufficient, carry your own gear and have a reliable, serviced Vespa.
