In addition to the Lap of the Lake, Thomas Halton Park will be transformed into an elevated destination for Italian festivities – celebrating Italian food, culture, music, and automotive displays right on the shore of our Bellisimo Lake.

The ride north to Lake Macquarie is via all back roads (no freeways) with an average speed of 70-80 klm. A easy ride, suitable for all engine sizes and riders (including L & P Plate) that have attended at least 2 x VCL rides previously.

The ride up to Newcastle will be approximately 3-4 hours with plenty of coffee stops and fantastic scenery along the way. Newcastle is a regular overnighter that VCL has done many times. We have built a good relationship with a motel in Merewether that is close to town, fuel, offers undercover secured parking with reasonable pricing. You are also welcome to book your own accommodation if you prefer.
